"Erotik in Filmen und Videospielen" lautete das Thema einer internationalen Konferenz, die unter der Konzeption, Organisation, Leitung und Moderation von Angela Fabris (Institut für Romanistk) und Jörg Helbig (Institut für Anglistik und Amerikanistik) vom 9.-11. November 2017 im Stiftungssaal der Universität Klagenfurt stattfand. Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus Österreich, Italien, Deutschland, Großbritannien und Spanien beleuchteten verschiedenste Aspekte dieses bislang noch wenig erforschten Gebiets, das in jüngster Zeit international immer stärkere Beachtung findet.

Das abwechslungsreiche Programm behandelte u.a. Filme von Michelangelo Antonioni, Stanley Kubrick, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Dario Argento und Michael Winterbottom. Eröffnet wurde die englischsprachige Tagung am Donnerstag Nachmittag mit einem Workshop zum Thema Erotik in Videospielen.

Eine Besonderheit bildet das innovative Konzept: Die Klagenfurter Konferenz ist Teil einer länderübergreifenden Doppeltagung. Teil 1 dieser Doppeltagung fand vom 26.-28. Oktober 2017 an der Universität Kassel unter dem Titel "Erotik in Literatur und Theater" statt.
