Eroticism in Italian Cinema I and II

This session invited papers in English or Italian dealing with the representation of eroticism in Italian cinema from the beginnings to the present. Possible research questions were: Which forms and types of eroticism can be found in different periods of Italian cinema? What kinds of erotic discourse are directly or indirectly represented? What distinguishes male from female representations? How is cinematic eroticism received in the press and in censorship?
