Information Systems Technology is nowadays a core and base discipline of informatics which addresses a variety of technical issues and application domains (e.g., re-engineering, maintenance, natural language processing, business administration, semantic web technologies, mobile and pervasive computing etc.). ISTA 2006 builds on the success of previous ISTA conferences starting in 2001.
