Beschreibung: As organizations transition into the networked economy, information systems technology continues to evolve rapidly. Information Systems Technology is nowadays a core and base discipline of informatics which addresses a variety of technical issues and application domains (e.g., re-engineering, maintenance, natural language processing, business administration, semantic web technologies, mobile and pervasive computing etc.). ISTA 2006 builds on the success of previous ISTA conferences starting in 2001. Focusing on the integrative character of Information Systems for research areas, ISTA 2006 took place from May 30 to May 31 2006 at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria, as an event of UNISCON’2006, a union of three international conferences addressing Information Systems from different perspectives: BIS 2006 ( 9th Int. Conf. on Business Information Systems) ISTA 2006 (6th Int. Conf. on Information Systems Technology and its Applications) NLDB 2006 (11th Int. Conference on Applications of Natural Language to Information Systems)
