| Title: | Current state of digitalization in the European Electronic Components and Systems Industry |

| Abstract: | Our paper highlights the various consequences of implementing information technology in sustainable supply and value chains of industries. With a particular focus on studying the digital transformation of the European Components and Systems (ECS) industry, our research examines the progress made by industry practitioners in implementing new, digital technologies and the impact achieved. We conducted an exploratory multiple-case study that included a qualitative content analysis of four selected industrial cases from a major European innovation project. The results contribute to the theory of how value chain process improvement can be assessed after innovative technical adaptations have been made in factories. |
