Natural disasters, terrorist attacks and nuclear incidents that occurred in the last two decades, along with severe breakdowns of different supply chains worldwide, sparked the various discussions of how to get back to the original state of economic interaction after supply chain disruptions. To give an overview about the scientific state-of-the-art we began investigating the current literature. Furthermore we want to explore the structure and origin of scientific progress, focusing on supply chain resilience. The identification of the most important and influential academic journals and scientific contributions in the field of research is another key aspect of our paper.
