Title: | Processes and structures affecting tumour board quality: a systematic review |
Subtitle: | |
Abstract: | In many healthcare systems, multidisciplinary teams (MDTs or tumour boards) are critical in cancer care and known as the gold standard for enhancing the quality of oncological care in Austria and worldwide. However, they claim a high range of financial, human and time resources, while the effectiveness of MTDs and their benefit to patients are still insufficiently evaluated. A Systematic Review of the literature was conducted, summarising the available evidence on the effectiveness of tumour boards, aiming to analyse the structures and processes that affect the quality of MDTs. |
