| Abstract: | Intelligent management of unstructured information (text documents, online resources, intranets) in terms of filtering relevant data with a minimum amount of time is essential for all big companies. Especially those with subsidiaries in different countries are facing a number of problems with respect to multilingual information concerning multiple domains stored in documents and IT systems. Common search engines are based on keywords and are thus not suitable for solving the above mentioned assignment problems in a satisfactory manner. They lead to an over fitting of search results by showing too many keyword matches within the textual resources. Instead of priorising term search with respect to pure frequency we propose the identification and management of concepts and knowledge by incremental processing of text features and personal data. To achieve a domain independent and multilingual concept extraction environment, a flexible and adaptive knowledge repository is indispensable. Such a repository should be generated by means of a new model for knowledge acquisition and knowledge representation based on the automatic concept out of Wikipedia documents. |
