| Kurzfassung: | In a knowledge society with knowledge as an essential criteria for production and competition certain critical factors for success have to be fulfilled to manage the challenges of knowledge management. The creation of knowledge oriented projects with a positive outcome and mulitdimensional learning opportunities as well as the achievement of knowledge growth for the organisation need to be discussed. A new leaf has to be turned over and change has to be planned and realised. More and more companies deal with knowledge management projects and the question how to organise and institutionalise knowledge transfer and learning as well as how to collect and use project experience and lessons learned. The 80:20 rule emphasises that 80 % of the success of knowledge management projects depend on organisational conditions and 20 % on appropriate information technology infrastructure. Based on the experiences in the institute of business techologies (biztec) we present certain factors for success that determine the results of knowledge management projects. Referring to this we deal with conditions within and among organisations and the creation of a company-specific organisational order of knowledge. Furthermore a field-tested process model is introduced that facilitates the institutionalisation of transferring lessons learned and best practices and offers possibilities how to realise knowledge management successfully. |
