Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure Austria #2
Description:

BBMRI.at aims to establisha state-of-the-art biobanking infrastructure in Austria and to increase closecooperation and harmonization between biobanks.These are prerequisites to facilitating access and fostering the use ofbiological samples and data for academic and industrial research. Biologicsamples and data collected in biobanks are valuable resources for innovationsin personalized medicine, and development of biomarkers, diagnostics andtherapeutics.


The objectives of WP2 for BBMRI.at #2 (funding period 2018-2023) can besummarized as follows:

•    Continuation and extension of the BBMRI.at BiobankCatalogue and/or transfer of data to the BBMRI-ERIC Directory

•    Distributed search for biomaterials and related data overmultiple biobanks (Sample Locator)

•    Identification and application of quality aspects forbiobanks regarding biomaterial, data and processes

•    Infrastructure for donation management and donorinvolvement (Biobank Portal)
