Social Acceptance and Technical Potential of Wind Energy in Austria
Description:

This research project explores how social survey data on social acceptance of wind power can be integrated in GIS analytics to estimate renewable energy technology potentials. While first attempts have been made to couple public acceptance data with other parameters using GIS, this research project stands out by offering a first exploration of how to combine bottom-up actual public acceptance data for specific areas, rather than proxies, with relevant GIS-based parameters.
