SAPIENCE: Sense & Avoid -- a cooPerartIvE droNe CompEtition
Description:

This project aims to develop innovative solutions for crisis management in civil emergency scenarios with multi-agent drone systems. Such systems have been hypothesised often, but as of yet there is no such system operational. We propose a competition, in which university teams from four nations compete, cooperate, and collaborate in developing such a system.

The competition will consist of three events of increasing difficulty, hosted in three different nations. The events will be shaped around the technical challenges of (i) Data fusion, (ii) Sense and avoid, and (iii) Fault tolerance. The goal of the competitions is to stimulate innovative solutions in these areas that can be applied to crisis management scenarios.
