5G - Virtual Reality for Healthy Youth
Description:

The project develops and evaluates a VR use over 5G networks which requires both the high data rates and the extremely short latencies of 5G. We will develop a virtual intervention space to foster youth's social well-being. With 5G, we can assemble and evaluate an out-of-the-box solution for an all-in-one 5G VR kit that allows peers from remote areas to join group interventions. We will test if virtual intervention over 5G is feasible with a low enough latency and high enough quality to allow for practical application in social health scenarios with multiple peers. The use case will be evaluated through a pilot feasibility study as part of this project.
