Circular economy: Development of a Sankey Diagram and Database for Bulk Material Flows and Stocks
Description:

The purpose of this advisory task for the European Commission is to provide technical support, analysis and data of MFA-related indicators for the Raw Material Information Systems (RMIS) and the Material Scoreboards of the European Commission. In particular, the indicator "Material flows in the Circular Economy" (Indicator 15 of the Scoreboard 2016) (assumptions, uncertainties, waste statistics) is assessed and updated to a more recent year to describe material flows in the EU 28 including its circularity. The contract will provide a calculation model that will enable a future update of the Sankey chart using EUROSTAT datasets (Economy-Wide MFA and waste statistics) by the Joint Research Center in Ispra.

Insbesondere wird der Indikator „Stoffströme in derKreislaufwirtschaft“ (Indikator 15 des Scoreboards 2016) (Annahmen,Unsicherheiten, Abfallstatistiken) bewertet und auf ein jüngeres Jahraktualisiert, um Stoffströme in der EU 28 einschließlich ihrer Zirkularität zubeschreiben. Im Rahmen des Auftrags soll ein Berechnungsmodell bereitgestelltwerden, mit dem eine zukünftige Aktualisierung des Sankey-Diagramms mit Hilfevon EUROSTATDatensätzen (Economy-Wide MFA und Abfallstatistiken) durch dasJoint Research Centre in Ispra ermöglicht wird.
