| Description: | The interdisciplinary project focuses on artist mobility and audience development in the region in addition to developing capacities through applied education and training which will benefit audiences, artists and curators, creating a European model with a view to sustainable long-term development of the initiative in other countries. ECHOES challenges local populations (encouraging audiences to become actively involved in cultural processes) and international artists (as agents of cultural refection) to reconsider the status quo of social structures with reference to people’s individual and group relationships to their surroundings. ECHOES was launched in May 2016, when the partners met in Istria to launch the 30 month border-crossing initiative to promote cultural, research and artistic practice in the Alp Adriatic Region. |
