Smart Grid Technology – A Master Program (ERASMUS+) | |
Beschreibung: | The electrical power system development in Egypt becomes mandatory due to the continuous increase of electricity demand and consequently the related operation, reliability and power quality improvement in addition to the environmental impacts. The smart grid presents the future status of the current traditional electrical power system. The smart grid technology aims to efficiently ensuring sustainable, economic and secure electricity supplies by integrating the actions of all producers and users connected to it. The smart grid sorts out the traditional grid issues. It is interactive with consumers and markets, optimized to make best use of resources and equipments and predictive to prevent emergencies. Additionally it is integrated, adaptive, secure and offers self-healing function. In this project, UNIABDN, AASTMT, and other Egyptian and European partners propose to establish a master of science in smart grid program. The program includes a wide range of professional courses will be delivered to cover smart grid technologies which are organized into five key technology areas: integrated communications, sensing and measurement, advanced power system components, advanced control methods, and improved interfaces and decision support. Moreover, the program incorporates a training center where candidates can register to attend specific courses. |
