Description: | FWF proposal for a CEUS project that is interested in various kinds of extinction narratives (human-centered, non-human centered, and others); their emotional impact (e.g., how they stimulate empathy and compassion); their attitudinal impact (how they influence attitudes toward endangered species and conservationist efforts); their behavioral impact (how they impact willingness to donate and other behavior with the intention to save); and how these effects are influenced by the species, gender, ethnicity, and number of the protagonists included in extinction narratives as well as the medium and cultural context of their reception. |
