The general goal of SALTOis a significant step towards flexible and adaptive open-worldapplication for automated systems in object-handling work processes.In the long term this shall result in 24/7 operation and increasedlevels of efficiency, safety and a wider range of applications andservices. This shall also compensate for the ongoing development thatmonotonic work processes are quickly losing attractivity and willtherefore have to be performed autonomously sooner or later.
