CODES - Algorithmic extraction and error correction codes for lightweight security anchors with reconfigurable PUFs
Description:

Im Zuge der CODES Projektes entwickeln wir neuartige kryptographische low-cost Algorithmen und Protokolle für rekonfigurierbare PUFs (rPUFs). Dies umfasst post-processing Methoden wie Fehlerkorrekturcodes und Anti-Ageing Algorithmen, um die Stabilität der PUF Messungen zu erhöhen und somit die Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheut der PUF basierten Security-Module zu verbessern. Unsere Entwicklungen werden in einem hybriden FPGA-ASIC Prototypen integriert und getestet. Dies ermöglicht es uns Sicherheitsevaluierungen und re-Zertifizierung in einer realen Umgebung durchzuführen.

Within the CODES project we will develop novel lightweight cryptographic algorithms and protocols based on reconfigurable PUFs. We will research post processing methods like error correcting codes and anti-ageing techniques to raise the stability of PUF based responses and thereby the reliability of PUF based security modules. Our developments will be integrated in and tested on a hybrid FPGA-ASIC prototype, which will allow us to perform security evaluations and pre-certification in a real world environment.
