HALPE - How Austrian Students Learn the Pronunciation of English
Description: Was macht "good language learner" im Ausspracheunterricht aus? Ausgehend von den Ergebnissen der Fachprüfungen im Bachelorstudium Englisch wird durch qualitative und quantitative Methoden erhoben, ob sich die erst- und letztgereihten Gruppen durch Lernvoraussetzungen, -zugänge oder -haltungen unterscheiden. Ziel ist, die Ergebnisse für die Lehre nutzbar zu machen.

Description: What makes an Austrian student a successful learner of the pronunciation of English? Based on the results of the comprehensive FP-exams, the study investigates differences between the most and least successful examinees regarding learning biographies, strategies, and attitudes. The results are intended to improve the teaching of pronunciation.
