Beschreibung: A cross country analyses of indicators derived from economy wide material flow accounts. An international survey. - This project aims at developing and testing the precise meaning and usefulness of MFA derived headline indicators. In a cross-country analysis based on available economy-wide MFA?s we will calculate main MFA derived indicators in an internationally comparable way and in time series. We then will characterize the indicators in terms of methodology, hidden biases and policy meaning. The project will result in suggestions for a future applicability of the different MFA indicators to policy fields.
