Host Recommender for Adaptive Multimedia Server Applications ÖAD A-11/2003
Beschreibung: The development of small and powerful computing devices such as cell phones, PDAs and, simultaneously, of wireless, mobile communication systems offers a great variety of new applications, summarized under the name of Mobile Computing. Recent technologies, eg. the bluetooth protocol, make it possible to connect these devices to networking environments. It will allow the users to customize their devices by downloading new services and applications from the internet. The aim of the partners is to extend their multimedia adaptation research (ADMITS) into the field of the new wireless appliances (PDA and/or cell phones) and protocols (bluetooth).
