MFA_EU_15 Teil 2: Material use in the European Union 1970-2001: Material categories and driving forces.
Beschreibung: The project will provide Eurostat and the European Commssion with an updated and extended data set on material use in the European Union. This data set comprises consistent time series data for each of the current 15 member states of the European Union for the period 1970 to 2001 and distinguishes between twelve types of material resources. Analytically the project addresses the following issues: driving forces for the development in material use in the past three decades, cross-country comparisons and the consequences of globalisation and international trade for a sustainable use of resource. Further detailed suggestions for improving methods of material flow accounting as well as for improved MFA-derived indicators will be made.
